There is a genuine British pre-decimal 'ship' halfpenny coin fixed to the front of each Pirates birthday card. The halfpenny, which is in mint condition, was issued in 1967.
The name of the birthday girl or boy is printed in the speech bubble on the front of the card. The bird is saying, 'Time to wake-up, Captain, it's ...... birthday'. We have used the name 'Robert' in the card illustrated below.
Your personal greetings message is printed in a gold-coloured font on the inside of the card.
Please note: these cards are not suitable for children aged 0-3 years because coins are a potential choking hazard.
