So much more than just a card

The genuine British coin fixed to the front of the Pocket Watch birthday card shows the year the person was born.
The coin will be a sixpence, farthing, silver threepence or silver sixpence.

The dial at the top of the pocket watch design shows the month in which the person was born.
The dial at the bottom shows the date the person was born.
The dial to the right shows the actual day of the week on which the person was born.
The dial to the left of the pocket watch does not relate to their date of birth.

We print your personal message in a silver-coloured script font on the inner leaves of the card. We also print 'The day you were born...' followed by the person's day, date, month & year of birth. (We use our perpetual calendar cards to establish the day of the week they were born.)

The example below is a birthday card with a 1934 silver threepence for someone born on 4th July 1934 (which was a Wednesday!).

Each card is approximately 14 x 14 cm. The card can be sent to you (we include a plain white envelope in the outer envelope) OR direct to the recipient.
